My desk is starting to come together...

Organization

Slowly, but surely, I am getting this house organized.  I have spent a lot of time in my new office/craft room/gift wrap room.  I love that I am able to find things now!

Joel the Builder

While sorting through boxes of mine from college and from my days working at camp, Joel stumbled upon the toy hard hats.  He then felt it was necessary to continue working with them on.  Such a boy at heart!

Gus visited NiNi (aka Aunt Annie) at her school.  Go Fennville Blackhawks!

DEER!!

Gus could be found standing on Gramma's table to see the 7 deer in her front yard.  (And yes, Gramma, was right there with him....this time.)

My New Project

My newest project today has been cake/cupcake decorating.  Slowly but surely, I am getting a little better.  I'm not great at it, but I do enjoy it.

Zoom Zoom!

While unpacking yet another box, we found one of Gus' Christmas presents...a remote control car.  He played with it almost all day!!

I got it for FREE with my debit card points and I LOVE it!!!

This is what Gus did while we were at his cousin's house.  Apparently Happy Meal boxes can double as hats.

Fanatic

Gus is a coloring fanatic.  He is OBSESSED with his markers!!

Boots are made for walking...

We couldn't find any of Gus' shoes one day earlier this week so rain boots worked in a pinch.  Well, now he keeps asking to wear his boots.

Cake decorating

One of my long time goals has been to learn how to decorate cakes....gotta start somewhere.  Still have a long way to go until I feel like it will ever be worthy of my son's birthday cake....but it tasted good.

Da-Doh will not be happy...

...when he sees that Gus is playing with bracelets.  I was sorting through a box from college and Gus decided to help.  Look at the corner of this picture, too. "We Solve Debt Problems"...it's a flyer from 1999 that I saved in this box.  I wonder why I thought it was important to save at that time.  The only debt I had at that point was a $200 credit card.  It is interesting looking back at what I thought was imporant or needed in 1999.

Baby in a Basket

Gus decided to drag the basket out of the bathroom and play with it in the kitchen.  He played for about an hour with that basket.  I wouldn't say it is a cheap toy, but it certainly is a versatile toy. 

Gus gets Organized

I stole this idea from someone else's blog but I love it.  The lady used baskets from the dollar store to organize the bottom drawer for her child.  We did the same thing!!  All of Gus' cups, bowls and plates are now at his level.  He loves getting out a cup when he is thirsty and when we empty the dishwasher, he is very helpful in putting them back.  (We are still working on his organizing skills and getting them in the right basket but for now I will take just in the drawer.)

Cheese!

Apparently taking pictures on my phone every day has trained my son.  Whenever he sees me with my phone now he runs over and yells, "cheese!!".

B is for Bucket

Gus and I stayed at Grandma Jo and Papa Scott's house.  I could hear that he was not going to sleep.  Turns out, he was able to reach some items outside the pack n play and pulled them in with him....including a bucket! 

Happy Boy!

I cannot stop staring at this picture....it is now the background on my cell phone.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this little face!!  And I think he knows that when he has this excited expression, with his eyebrows up as high as they will go, that his momma will become mush and give him what his little heart desires....how can I resist?!?!

Moocher

Trying too mooch some of Momma's bop (aka "pop").  Not gonna work, little man!

Beautiful

 

I may be biased, but I just adore how perfectly beautiful this little boy is.  God does really good work! 

Empty Space

Started to re-organize the kitchen today.  I LOVE that there is some empty space in this cupboard...I hope it stays that way!  Trying to purge as much as we can these days!

Shelves!!

We now have shelves in one of the closets in my office (aka. scrapbooking room, Thirty-One room, gift wrapping room).  Starting to organize all of my junk...

Baby in the Bath

 

Gus HAD to sit in the tub (without water) and play with his toys while Momma was trying to clean the bathroom.  Guess the cleaning can wait...
