The 6th Annual Stapleton/Gyolai Pumpkin Carving Extravaganza

My boys worked hard on this pumpkin!  Everything Joel took out of the pumpkin, Gus helped put back in.  In was a vicious cycle....and a lot of fun to watch.

We had a bomb threat...seriously.

Where's Waldo?

I was trying to fold Gus' laundry, put his clothes away, pack away clothes that were too little for him and Gus was busy taking out every toy and stuffed animal and throwing them around his room.  Notice the hat....he wanted it on.  There were moments where it was hard to find him among all of those toys and all of his clothes.

What a mess!

I came home to this....Somebody pulled everything out of the closet and made a disaster in the kitchen.  Where was his dad during all this?  My favorite is the suitcase.  How is Gus strong enough to move that?!?

Nunny Nonsense

When Joel and I moved Gus' furniture we found a plethora of his "nunnys" (aka pacifiers). We must be crazy to have so many!!

Where's Gus

In an effort to clean Gus' room without his "help", I put him and his toys that were on the floor into his crib. That kid was swimming in toys and was loving it!! (The picture is blurry but the kid couldn't sit still cuz he was so excited!!)

Whew!!

The season is finally done!! Only a few more weeks and then competitive begins!!

Puppy Kisses

Gus had a great time tonight at the football game.  He decided to give "puppy" kisses to anyone who would let him!

#2 Pencils

One of my jobs in the counseling offices is to conduct standardized testing like the MEAP, ACT, etc.  Today was the day for the 9th grade Social Studies MEAP...that means sharpening A LOT of #2 pencils for testing!!

Worth Every Penny

We definitely have gotten a lot of use out of this music table. Gus has played with it almost everyday for the past 8 months. He LOVES it!!

Happy Boy

Have you ever seen a Love Sac?  Think huge bean bag full of foam instead of beads.  We had bought one years ago...decided to store it at my parents house and just recently brought it back.  Gus LOVES it!!  Clearly very happy in the sac and relaxing with his "baba"!

College Fair

Part of my new job as counselor means putting together mini-college fairs for our kids.  This was my first one and I think, if I do say so myself, it was a great success!!

Battle with the Bottle

We have been trying hard to ditch the "baba" in our house.  After about an hour long temper tantrum and pathetic sobbing, I finally caved in and put his milk into his bottle.  Not a battle worth fighting right now.  Gus is struggling to adjust to daycare...I am a wimp...just can't make him have to adjust to too much at once.  Plus...look how happy he is with his "baba"!!

At the Lion's game for Dad's birthday!  It was such a great game!  We had so much fun watching the Lions WIN!!!

Sweet Silas

It's a little blurry, but so exciting all the same.  Today we got the birth announcement in the mail for Silas!!  Silas joined our friends, Emily and Josh, from Ethiopia!  We are so thrilled that they were able to adopt so quickly and are now parents to this beautiful little man!  We were so excited when we opened the announcement to see Silas wearing the onesie we sent him.  He was definitely WORTH THE WAIT!!

Big Man on Campus

Gus has a blast running up and down the hallway of our high school.  He clearly acts like he owns the place.  This is his home away from home and you can see that he is quite comfortable here.

Just me and my ram

We are the Flat Rock Rams, so it isn't strange to us, but I was told recently that it was strange that my son had a stuffed ram.  Why is that weird??  He got his shots today so he is having a rough day and has been loving that ram like crazy today.  We love all of our rams!  Go green!!

Gus steals some water from our good friend, Uncle Goo (Drew).  Poor Drew had baby slobber all over his water bottle.  Drew's wife, Miranda, is one of the wonderful ladies that babysits Gus during the school day.  I'm sure that Gus has slobbered all over many of the things at Drew's house.  What's one more?
