Ticket to Ride

My sister and her boyfriend, Nate, introduced us to this game.  Joel hasn't stopped talking about it so I finally bought it for him.  It was his "Happy New House" gift.

We were given this singing/dancing flower pot as a house warming gift....it has scared the heck out of me one too many times.  These flowers need to find a new home....

Chef Gus

I'm not really sure what he was trying to make but he gets these items out of the pantry all the time and plays with them.  The strange part...he actually puts them away in the right spot without being told.  Love it!!

A place at the table

While out to dinner, Gus decided that he wanted to sit in the booth...not in his high chair.  No booster seat.  He did great!!  He colored rather quietly and really seemed to love sitting with the big kids (aka adults!)

Neverending

My car is going in to be detailed in the morning.  It needs some spring cleaning BAD!  As I was cleaning out items from under the seats I saw a piece of ribbon.  I pulled at it and it kept coming and coming....turns out, it was a whole roll!! Being quite sleep deprived, it took me a while to figure out that I should stop pulling.  So who needs some gift wrapping done?  I happen to have a little bit of ribbon.

We take St. Patrick's Day pretty seriously around here.  And our little flirtatious boy will find anyway to kiss the ladies!  :)

Brendan

Bummer that there is a crazy glare from the picture I took of the picture, but how cute is this little boy?!?  This is my nephew, Brendan.  I can't get over the fact that he is 8 years old now!  WOW!  Seems like just yesterday he was this pint sized munchkin!

Pass

So my boss, Andrew, tends to go to meetings and conferences from time to time.  He mentioned once that he would rather be in our building than out of the building.  As a counselor, I am able to excuse kids from school, so why not an adult from school.  I gave him a pass from my office to give to the superintendent the next time he had to go to a meeting or a conference that the superintendent sent him to.  Unfortunately, I'm thinking that this counselor doesn't have jurisdiction that goes that far.  Sorry, Boss....you are on your own.

FUN!

So I saw these fun hurricane lamps at Target.  I LOVE them!!  How cool would the light from a candle be as it shone through the walls of the hurricane?  Don't worry, Joel, I kept walking....

A-B-C...

At our old house, we had a fridge covered in magnets and pictures.  I am a little sad that our new fridge is stainless steel and magnets don't work on it.  Although I am loving the clean look of our new fridge. No fear...Gus founnd a new spot for his A-B-Cs.  It makes me smile just a little bit whenever I leave the house now.

Missing

I never realized until just recently that we were missing out.  We needed a card table and folding chairs.  We never needed one at the townhouse because there was no room.  Now that we are in our new house we can actually have people over for dinner.  The only problem is that our table only has 4 chairs which means only one person can come for dinner.  At least with some folding chairs, we can have a few more.  Thank you, Gyolai family, for the wonderful housewarming gift!  This will be perfect for when we have your family over....perfect "kids table"!!

Surprise!

This beautiful arrangement arrived from my Aunt Paula and her daughters about 15 minutes before our housewarming party.  I thought that someone was early....but no...it was just the flower delivery man.  How fun!!!

These beautiful flowers arrived for me at school today from my parents.  Perfect centerpiece for our housewarming party tomorrow night.  Thanks Mom and Dad!

Sick Baby

I got another one of those dreaded phone calls today at work.  "Your baby is puking EVERYWHERE."  Oh man!!  We were in a staff training.  If there wasn't vomit involved, Joel and I would have probably "rock, paper, scissored" to see who GOT to leave the training.  But when there is vomit.....it is all Dadoh!  So off Joel went to go get Gus and take him home.  Little guy was OUT soon after they got home.  Being sick takes a lot out of you!

Mine...all mine!

At least covered the windows in MY new craft room.  Yes, I am leaving it pink for now.  Can't wait to get my desk and scrapbooking stuff in there!  I'm excited to have a space of my own where I can do all of my projects.

Couch

We finally have our couch!  Now we can start to organize our living room and stop sitting on a bean bag!

Belly Boy

Gus was so silly today.  He kept lifting his shirt.  Not sure where he learned to flash people...definitely not from his momma!  But the ironic thing about this is that his shirt says, "I'd rather be naked."  Quite appropriate!

One Year Picture

I finally got my act together and got Gus' one year picture framed.  We have a plethora of pictures of our little munchkin....but I love this big red bucket holding my baby!  Too cute!

Rock a Baby

My uncle made this beautiful little rocking chair for Gus.  (Yes, I cried, when he gave it to us.  Such a thoughtful thing that he spent so much time on!)  The chair had been stored at my parents house until we moved.  We now have the extra space so we are able to have it at our house.  Gus has dragged this chair EVERYWHERE!!  As you can see behind him, I am still working to organize and unpack boxes.  Every time I put this little chair in it's new little home, my little munchkin redecorates and moves it.  And in his words, "Ocka-ocka, ocka-ocka".



Only 3??

Uh oh...how did I let this happen?  Down to only 3 catalogs and I have 2 parties this weekend.  YIKES!!  (Thank goodness for friends who are consultants and can help a girl out!)
