BIG

I LOVE my new BIG bowl!!  Not only because it has polka dots...but because it is HUGE!!  It is big enough to hold a basketball.  So fun!!

Hiding Spot

Somebody found a new hiding spot to avoid going to the sitter's house in the morning.  Unfortunately for him, he doesn't fit all the way inside! 

Boredom

Slowly started working to get Gus' playroom pulled together!  I am so happy to finally have a spot that he can use for all of his toys!

Double Nunny

Lately, there have been situations that I have found my son in that remind me SO much of my nephew Brendan.  This one tops them all!  When Brendan was this age, he would put two "nunnies" in his mouth.  In the car today Gus was screaming for a nunny (overly tired) and since I had just given him one when I thought he would take a nap, I was a little frustrated that he already lost it.  I handed him the spare one that I brought along.  A moment later, I heard this little giggle come from the back seat....he had both in his mouth!!  I had to pull over to take a picture.  What a goof ball!!  (And where did he hide that first nunny?)

Morning person?

Gus used to be a morning person.  Clearly he isn't any more.  And he definitely doesn't appreciate his picture being taken in the morning. 

Waiting

I had to go to the house at 7 AM on Saturday morning to wait for the new mattress to be delivered.  Luckily the cable had been set up the day before so I at least had something to do.  Unfortunately the rest of moving day would not commence until later so for the time being it was just me, the tv and Gus' beanbag.

The Chef in the House...

...is not me. But for a girl who doesn't cook, I sure do have a TON of cookbooks!

Music

I can always find Gus today.  He is carrying this book around and playing the music on it. 

Chocolate

Painted the bottom chocolate brown.  (It looks much better in person.) The red had to go!!  Next up....painting the chair rail.  And yes, Gus' time out chair is the only furniture in the room for the time being.

Paper shortage...and a globe?

I was out of my classroom for two days this past week and needed to do sub plans for Monday (since we are closing on our house!!).  I went into school to get it all set up and while we were there, we noticed that the paper at school that was supposed to last our building until the end of the year was quickly depleting.  YIKES!!  We will barely get through February at this rate!  And then we noticed the globe...where the heck did that come from??  Nobody is claiming it so I guess it will remain there!

The Otto Orchard

HOME!  I love going home to my parents house at different times throughout the year.  The spring is beautiful when all of the apple trees are blossoming.  The summer you can enjoy the peace and quiet of country living.  The fall is crisp and the apple trees seem so vibrant with the apples "polka-dotting" the branches.  But the winter....LOVE it!!  After a fresh snow, you can see the trees sparkling in the sun.  But the best part is seeing if you can make it up the 1/4 mile long driveway without getting stuck in the snow!

Skin Disease

Well this hypochondriac took her son to the doctor for fear that he had some weird skin disease.  Gus loves going to the doctor.  He has so many things to play with.  After playing with these doors, he decided to shove the doctor's chair around the room.  (You know, the one with the wheels....he had a blast!)

OH!  And no skin disease....just eczema!!  :)

Unity

So I have been trying to help my assistant coach do whatever she needs for her wedding.  She asked me if I could help with the unity candle.  This is exactly what she wants around the candle.  Unfortunately, it wasn't until I saw this picture that I noticed that the white ribbon is crooked.  Dang it!  Oh well...I will fix it tomorrow.  :)

Silly girl!

One of my silly cheerleaders was doing chores in our practice room and decided to have some fun.  She found some super retro shorts in our storage and some rubber gloves.  What a goofball!!

A place to hang your hat

I saw this pink coat rack at Home Goods the other day.  I could stop thinking about it.  I thought it might be good to use for my Thirty-One display.  I decided to go back to Home Goods to see if it was still there and how much it was.  It was then that I saw the white one.  Hmmm....such decisions.  I ended up with the white one.  (By the way...if you have never been to a Home Goods, it is a MUST!!)

Niiiccce Dadoh...

We have really been working hard with this crazy monkey to get him to stop hitting others in the face.  It happens mainly to his momma, but occasionally to others.  We want to put a stop to this as soon as we can.  We started saying, "be nice to _______".  Now Gus will say, "Niiiiccceee." (In his sing-songy voice)  In addition to that he will also pet the person's face.  "Niiiicce Dadoh!!"

Polka Dots!

Look at what I bought tonight?  Yes, I took a picture as the cashier was ringing it up.  It is a large bowl for salad or chips or whatever.  Those who know me are fully aware that I adore polka dots.  Ooo-la-la!  Loving it!

Bags are packed....

All of Gus' stuff is packed and ready for the new house.  I did keep the necessities, of course, and I allowed him to keep a few toys out.  :)

hangers and a hat

Okay so this is also from yesterday...but in the packing I am not sure where my camera went.  Love Gus' matching hangers and I adore his cowboy hat.  (The best part is that the hat fit perfectly in the box to help keep the hangers from sliding around!)

Emptiness

Started packing up the house.  Gus' closet is almost cleared out!
