What's Up Doc??

We had to find many ways to spend our time while we waited for the doctor to come in and see us today. Little guy weighs 27lbs and is 34" tall.

Baby Blogger

Daddy took today's picture...a little blurry.  But as you can see Gus has some new skills.  He LOVES the computer!  Maybe he will start taking over the blog.  Kids and their technology skills....amazing.

Sleeper

I got this picture of Gus from our sitter today.  He fell asleep this morning on the couch.  I LOVE watching him sleep.  (I know that some day that will creep him out.)  He is just so peaceful!  And with as busy as he is, he needs that sleep to regain some energy.

"Secret Thoughts of an Adoptive Mother"

No pictures taken today.  But I was able to do someting that I haven't done in forever....read.  I've been reading this book and have plenty of thoughts myself.  You can check out my blog and see my series of posts about my thoughts on the topics in this book.  I wrote my first post today...watch for more to come.

Cozy

This is the cozy little blanket that came with my newest Thirty-One shipment.  I am nice and cozy wrapped up in it right now as I catch up on a weeks worth of blogging.  This week has been a little busy so now I am playing catch up!

Have a Seat

Had a great little girls day out with my cousins, aunts, mom and sister.  Our fun filled day ended in Saugatuck for a little shopping and dinner.  I saw these chairs and LOVED them.  Watch out Flat Rock  High School woodshop students...I may have a new project for you.  :)

Fun Friday

I love Friday's when we get to wear jeans and our FR apparel!!  One more reason to love Friday!

Firefighting Fun

One of Gus' favorite toys.  He LOVES the sirens on it!  Maybe we will be a firefighter some day.

Boogie Wipes

I am a HUGE FAN of Boogie Wipes.  (Okay, HUGE FAN is an understatement.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!)  I just discovered the new scent....Magic Menthol Scent this past weekend.  And just in time because Gus and I both came down with colds.  And yes, I have been using them myself and they are AMAZING!

Oh Charlie...

Our kitchen calendar is a weekly calendar and I love it because it is the Peanuts comic strips.  I turned to this one for this week and it was one of the classic football swipe from Lucy.  Poor Charlie...he falls for her tricks every time!!

New Cup!!

We FINALLY found another cup that Gus will use!!  Thank goodness since the only other kind that he will take are really hard to find.  Wahoo!!

Trouble?

It was strangely quiet so I rushed out of the kitchen to see what Gus was up to in the living room.  He just got a book off the shelf and was reading.  How can you not love that?!?  (*sigh*)

Christmas is Coming!

OUCH!

Today has been a rough day for Gus.  He cried non-stop at his sitter's house today for about 2 1/2 hours before I got a phone call.  Poor Miranda wasn't sure what to do.  No fear...it is just teeth coming in.  In addition to that traumatic morning, Gus went to cheer practice with me, tripped and fell, smashing his little flat nose into the ground.  Yes, there was blood.  Yes, his momma was a little light-headed.  Yes, Auntie Tanya (my assistant coach) was a little queasy.  Yes, there was another adult to help clean up the blood since the two of us were a mess.  Gus survived and is playing like a little crazy man again!

Wonderful Women

We LOVE these women!!  They were the social workers that helped us with Gus' adoption.  These pictures are from July but we got to see to see them again tonight at the agency.  It was the highlight of our day so we wanted to make it a focus...but had no pictures.  :(  It was SO great to see them!!

Oh my!

One of Gus' favorite "toys" in the house is the tv remote control.  Someone got ahold of the remote and by the time I caught him, I noticed this on the tv.  Not cool, little man!  (But a little bit funny!)

Put a lid on it!

Gus tested out his new winter hat. He was so stinking cute wandering around the house in it that I couldn't help but laugh out loud!

Shoes?!?

No matterhow hard I tried today, I could NOT find two matching shoes for Gus.  I finally found some....only to find out that they didn't fit him.  :(  It was fun to watch my cheerleaders try to put them on him though.  Good thing Da-Doh had an extra pair in his car that did fit.  Whew!

 

Big Boy!

Kind of a blurry picture....but Gus got his big boy haircut while at Aunt Miranda's house today.  His hair looks a lot lighter and looks like such a little boy! 

Pony Express

Had to make a trip to the Post Office today because someone mailed us an envelope and was short of postage.  Do you know how difficult it is to entertain a 1 year old in a post office line?  I really do not enjoy the post office to begin with but standing in line with a little antsy one was even less fun!

1st day of School

Looks like Gus and Brodie kept Auntie Miranda busy today while Momma, Dada and Uncle Goo went back to school!  (We are so lucky to have Miranda watch Gus twice a week and so excited that her nephew, Brodie, will be there to play with Gus, too!)

Relaxing

Gus suddenly likes to hang out in the big chair and drink his night time bottle. Made me chuckle to look at him just lounging there watching Mickey and drinking his milk.

Locked out

We waited on the hood of the car that we were locked out of since "someone" was playing with Daddy's keys earlier and they had disappeared. Luckily, Daddy found them and we were on our way!

Old Navy

My mom and I went shopping today.  Costco, teacher supply store, Kohl's, JC Penney but my favorite is always Old Navy!!  I would like to be able to say that my mom does not spoil my son....but I can't.  That kid scored some great clothes thanks to Gramma!!  (And so did his momma!)

Fire up, Rams...no really, fire up!

All of the Rams were a little melancholy as the Jets won the game. :(  On the upside, I think the girls new uniforms look great!!

Danny

First football game of the 2010 season....once again spent with Dan.  (Gus' first picture on the football field was also with Dan.  We may have started a tradition.)

Sassiness
